Tool Donations

SEAC’s Tool Shed happily accepts tool donations! Your generosity allows us to keep delivering on this program’s mission of making tools accessible to anyone who desires to make repairs to their homes and cars and an impact on their community.

All tools can be dropped off at our storefront, 1255 University Ave, Rochester, NY 14607. You will be provided with a receipt for your tax deductions. The South East Area Coalitions is a 501(c)3 non-profit that has been advocating for our neighborhoods, communities, and residents since 1968!

If you have any questions or want to get in touch about a potential donation, please email us at toolshed@seacrochester.org or give us a call at 585-271-TOOL (8665).

We reserve the right to refuse, redirect, or sell donations based on capacity and need. We can always refer donations to offer community organizations for your convenience, time allowing – but we always appreciate offers.

Tool Donation Guidelines

Please review our guidelines on tool donations:

We accept all tools that are in good working order and are safe to use – for large donation deliveries, please note that forewarning is highly encouraged (nick@seacrochester.org) to ensure processing! We cannot always promise to have the room or need for any and all donations.

Note on Cordless Power Tools: For ease of use, we are only accepting power tools from recognized major brands such as Dewalt, Black+Decker, Craftsman, Milwaukee, Stanley, Ryobi, etc.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT:

  • Building or construction materials
  • Any tool that is rusted, broken, or deemed unsafe
  • Any battery-powered tools that are not part of our accepted brands
  • Gas-powered tools
